What is the really big chorus

The Really Big Chorus (TRBC) is Britain’s largest choral society, made up of singers from hundreds of different choirs all over the country as well as thousands of individuals. At any one time we have between 9,000 and 10,500 members on our mailing list, and because many of these are representatives of their own large choirs we are probably in regular contact with a pool of some 30,000 singers. However, our members come not only from the UK but also from Europe and the USA, and we even have members in Australia, Japan, the Middle East and South Africa! Everyone shares a common love of choral singing and the sheer sense of exhilaration which comes from singing wonderful music in the company of other like-minded people: musical friendship on a national and international scale. Click on these links to learn more about the people behind TRBC, and how it all started.

TRBC has an associated company, Concerts from Scratch, which deals with all the organisational aspects. While TRBC thinks lofty thoughts about encouraging choral participation and supporting good causes, Concerts from Scratch through its staff and volunteers does all the hard graft associated with bookings, mailings, publicity, issuing tickets and actually putting on the concerts and excursions.
