Haydn’s Creation is a fantastically colourful oratorio with wonderfully exuberant choral writing and much word-painting from soloists and orchestra. The Really Big Chorus has not presented this work at the Royal Albert Hall since 2003, so it is well overdue for a revival. We did, of course, perform it in the stunning surroundings of Cape Town in 2007, but were limited in the number of singers we could fly out to South Africa. No limits at the Royal Albert Hall, so we confidently expect about 2,000 of you to come and share the fun with Brian Kay. Not sung with us before? What better way to start than with this very familiar score?
