What do we all do at Christmas, regardless of our religious affiliation?  We sing and we shop.  Come with us to Bruges, a jewel of a city remarkable for its history, architecture, winding canals and (of course) beer and chocolate, and sing seasonal music to your heart’s content under the direction of Jeremy Jackman, who will coax every ounce of musicianship from you. Our main concert is at the Sint-Jakobskerk, and we plan also to sing in the Christmas market itself.

With countries around the world planning commemorative events in 2014 to mark 100 years since the outbreak of World War 1, those who wish can take a day to visit Ypres where we will see some of the battle sites and sing at the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate.

Our music programme has been conveniently collated into a single booklet and includes some well-known favourites (the Christmas selection from Messiah and familiar carols), plus specially tailored arrangements and a brand-new carol medley written specially for us by Jeremy. Accompaniment will be provided by brass quintet and organ (with the celebrated Belgian organist Ignace Michiels).
