THE SCRATCH® CHRISTMAS IN NUREMBERG

Bavaria, Germany

Even people who don’t sing for the rest of the year will sing at Christmas; and even the most reluctant of shoppers will go on a spree. We make it really easy for you to do both in style. Nuremberg’s Christkindlesmarkt is one of the oldest of the European Christmas markets, world famous for its hand-crafted ornaments and its culinary delicacies, and we will have daily seasonal singing sessions to get you in the mood as Jeremy Jackman transforms you from a bunch of ad hoc singers into a thoroughly respectable choir. We will be singing in the Christmas market itself, and also presenting a full evening concert with organ and brass.

Our music programme draws together the best of the repertoire from our two previous Christmas Market excursions, with the Christmas section from Messiah and works by Bach, Adolph Adam and well-known English and German carols. All music will be available in a single convenient booklet, and those who joined us in 2011 and 2013 will not need to purchase another one (see Details for singers for more information).
