‘Heart Hero’ award for TRBC
On Saturday 6 February the British Heart Foundation will bestow the award of ‘Heart Hero’ on Don and Ann Monro, who will receive it on behalf of The Really Big Chorus.
During the 30 or so years in which we have worked with the British Heart Foundation, The Really Big Chorus has raised close to a quarter of a million pounds for the nation’s heart charity, and the ‘Heart Hero’ award recognises this achievement.
A spokesperson for the BHF said: ‘The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is extremely grateful to The Really Big Chorus and Concerts from Scratch for the outstanding support they have given to the charity over the past 30 years and looks forward to their continued involvement in the future.
‘We rely on the support of people like Don and Ann to continue our life-saving work. In appreciation of their long term commitment to the BHF, the nation’s heart charity, Don and Ann Monro will receive a Heart Hero award in February 2010 on behalf of The Really Big Chorus. These awards recognise the range of ways that individuals, groups and companies put their hands on their hearts to support the BHF.’
