What is The Really Big Chorus?

The Really Big Chorus (TRBC) is the ultimate community choir, drawn from other smaller choirs and thousands of individual singers. It offers you the opportunity to take part in unique large-scale choral concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, singing weekends to tempting destinations abroad, singing cruises on exclusively chartered river-boats, and an acclaimed Summer School.

At the RAH the size of the choir varies from 1,000 to 3,500 strong, so you are sure of vocal support; an additional boon for a busy singer is that rehearsals are on the day only (none at all for Messiah from Scratch!). We book the Royal Albert Hall, a professional orchestra and soloists, and deal with all the admin;  all you have to do is to book a seat, learn the music in advance, then turn up on the day at the appointed time and sing – what could be easier?

Our singing Members are drawn not only from the UK but also from Europe and North America; we even have Members in Australia, Japan, the Middle East, South Africa and South America who join us at the RAH from time to time. Everyone shares a common love of choral singing and the sheer sense of exhilaration which comes from singing wonderful music in the company of other like-minded people: musical friendship on a national and international scale.
