Itinerary. We depart from Heathrow on Wednesday 14 October and arrive in Munich in time to transfer by coach to Passau and board MS Amadeus Elegant by about 16h00. The ship leaves Passau at 18h00 after which there will be a welcome cocktail party before dinner is served on board.

On Thursday 15 October the arrives in Vienna just before lunch. An optional guided city tour will be offered before the ship travels overnight to Bratislava, where we arrive early on Friday 16 October. Again, an optional city tour will be offered before the ship travels overnight to Budapest.

On the morning of Saturday 17 October we arrive in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, Budapest. An optional panoramic city tour will be offered in the morning, and as night falls we take an evening cruise along the illuminated river bank, including a typical Hungarian folklore show with dinner aboard. The ship is docked in Budapest overnight. You will have the opportunity to explore Budapest further on the morning of Sunday October 18. After lunch on board there will be an optional tour exploring the delights of Szentendre and Esztergom. Meanwhile the ship sails for Esztergom. After a brief stop to pick up passengers who have taken that excursion, the ship continues to Vienna.

The ship docks in Vienna at lunchtime on Monday 19 October. In the afternoon, there will be an optional excursion to Schönbrunn Palace, the former imperial summer residence and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After dinner we will be offering an optional ‘Sound of Vienna’ concert at the famous Kursalon given by the Salonorchester Alt Wien. The ship then leaves for Melk at 23h00.

We arrive in Melk just after breakfast on Tuesday 20 October. There is an optional excursion to the famous Benedictine abbey, which will include a wine tasting. We will also give a short performance of our sacred repertoire in its exquisite chapel. Whilst cruising back to Passau through the scenic Wachau Valley, the captain will welcome you to a special dinner followed by music and dancing for everyone on board, and an opportunity to perform our lighter repertoire.

Disembarkation is after breakfast on Wednesday 21 October. We transfer by coach to Munich airport and fly back to the UK.

There will be a two-hour daily choral session led by Brian Kay, with our old friend Maria Marchant at the piano. Times will depend on our cruise schedule.
