Hallelujah Chorus (photo: Simon Martner)

Royal Albert Hall

Our 44th Messiah from Scratch was as exhilarating as ever, with conductor Brian Kay expertly holding together over 3,000 singers, along with our wonderful soloists and splendid English Festival Orchestra, in an adrenaline-filled performance that had everyone leaving the Royal Albert Hall on an amazing ‘high’. Our soloists this year were Catriona Hewitson (soprano), Emily Gray (mezzo), William Wallace (tenor) and Jake Muffett (baritone).

The concert supported the British Heart Foundation through programme sales, advertising and post-concert bucket collections – we will announce the total raised as soon as we know it.

From our singers:

…such a memorable experience. I thought that the chorus was the best I have ever heard…’ Anne S-W.

‘We loved every second of it.’ Margaret C.

‘…an unforgettable experience. I hope to repeat another time with more friends, and my choir.’ Cristina R-C.

‘…one of my best experiences ever.’ Ignasi R.
