RAH Mozart Requiem – last few tickets

3 May 2024

Our RAH Mozart Requiem on 12 May (7 pm) has already sold out of many of the best seats, but you can still get tickets if you are quick! If you want to be part of the chorus you need to visit our booking page. For audience tickets, visit the Royal Albert Hall website.

This concert offers a feast of music by Mozart, starting with one of his most popular string pieces: Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Following this is his Third Horn Concerto, K.447, with soloist Ben Goldscheider. Ben was a category winner in the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2016, subsequently establishing himself as an international soloist. Alongside his performances of standard horn repertoire, Ben regularly commissions new works from contemporary composers, resulting in premiere performances all over the world.

Mozart’s Requiem features in the second half of the concert, and showcases almost 2,000 singers from The Really Big Chorus. Our quartet of soloists comprises Rachel Speirs, Bethany Horak-Hallett, Ruairi Bowen and Ossian Huskinson. The orchestra is the English Festival Orchestra, and the conductor is TRBC’s Principal Conductor, Brian Kay. Furthermore, 12 May is Brian’s 80th birthday and he celebrates by conducting some of his favourite music.

Programmes at our RAH Mozart Requiem will be sold in aid of The Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain. Founded in 1738, this organisation does incredible work supporting professional musicians and their dependents in difficult circumstances. The composer Handel was a founder member who gave generously, and we hope concert-goers will do likewise. Your donations will enable the continuation of monetary grants, advice and guidance for the musicians who give us so much.
