Our Glorious Sing, 16–19/21 April 2026: change of destination!
Concerts from Scratch and Specialised Travel would like to announce a stunning new destination for the first of our 2026 singing holidays: Sing Glorious Malta, 16–19/21 April 2026.
Originally planned for Dubrovnik, and on exactly the same dates, this musical getaway will instead take place on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Malta. The impressive Mdina Cathedral, with its golden stone and superb acoustics, will be the venue for our concert on Saturday 18 April.
Regrettably, the Revelin Fortress in Dubrovnik has informed us it can no longer accommodate our performance in 2026. Despite extensive research by our partner, Specialised Travel, we can confirm that there is no other suitable venue for a choir of TRBC’s size in or around Dubrovnik. After much consideration, we have taken the opportunity to return to a well-known and well-loved setting last visited in 2010.
We remain under the direction of conductor Manvinder Rattan, and the repertoire is unchanged. We will sing the same two uplifting settings of the Gloria – the ever-popular Vivaldi and the exuberant modern version by Karl Jenkins (written for The Really Big Chorus in 2010).
We will, of course, include time to explore Malta’s amazing sights. For those who’d like to extend their stay, a two-day post-concert extension will be available, as always.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
If you have already registered your interest for Dubrovnik, and would like to come to Malta, do nothing! You will receive the full sales information email from Specialised Travel at the end of June and you can book your place then.
If you registered your interest for Dubrovnik, but do not want to come to Malta, do nothing! You will still receive the STL sales information email at the end of June which you can simply ignore/delete.
