TRBC’s ‘Target for Tallinn’ challenge

As we write at the end of July, it’s roughly ten weeks until we take off for our all-Beethoven programme in Tallinn. As ever, we could do with more tenors and basses. Can we find ten more men in just ten weeks? It’s certainly a challenge!

Gentlemen: we know you are out there, and we suspect that with a little flattery and arm-twisting we could persuade you to join us. Beethoven’s music is wonderful but will always sound better with rock-solid underpinning from the tenor and bass lines.

Come on, chaps – join us in Tallinn to sing the Mass in C and the Choral Fantasia, with professional orchestra and soloists. The venue is the wonderful Jugendstil-designed Estonian Concert Hall (the German counterpart of art nouveau). We have plenty of sopranos and altos waiting to give you a hero’s reception. You are also welcome to bring a soprano with you (altos are currently on a waiting list).
